This health center is a Health Center Program grantee under 42 U.S.C. 254b, and a FTCA deemed Public Health Service employee under 42 U.S.C. 233(g)-(n). What is the FTCA? The Federally Supported Health Centers Assistant Act of 1992 and 1995 granted medical malpractice liability protection through the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) to HRSA-supported health centers. Under the Act, health centers are considered Federal employees and are immune from lawsuits, with the Federal government acting as their primary insurer. For more information, visit the HRSA website.
